Re: Hyperion Corinthian Galaxy - Comments
Hazat have another one in the starport on Schemadin. They also have 3 Special Operations Craft immediately south, that need to be converted to SP Artillery.

Hi Matt,
There's a Hawkwood R27.3 on the northern continent on Isenias, next to the farm.

Hi guys,
Checking back into the community after a long hiatus; what's the latest version of Hyperion Gamma to be released?
The one I have was downloaded on the 4th of September, 2004.

Re: Ranged Space
Yah, I'm sort of content with leaving it, at least until it is playtested, plus it'll make having the 'Eye a very viable alternative (as if it wasn't before!), but I think I gave them about 10 or so Agents on Byz2. With that force, they could easily wipe all the Houses off of Byzantium II, until so...

Re: Hyperion v1.4
Well, that is basically a requirement if you play Hazat in the Corinthian galaxy - you must jump to Osquen on turn 1 so that you can land some Special Forces and your Blademaster with your Assault Lander and do some decent city capturing and get out of there before the Cybermorph Bomber jumps in - ...

Re: Mind Elemental - Fix to Crash!
I play Hyperion almost exclusively against the AI, though it's more vs the non-house players since they start out and tend to remain very tough opponents to invade (and sometimes they do a decent job of assembling nasty space stacks). To make the house AI's a viable opponent you'd need to beef up t...

Re: Hyperion House Rules
I'd like: (1) A variation on this, using the honour system: no using the ministries to beat up the non-ministry players. 20, 21, 22) I'd like to see these stay. I think that a determined, smart player could take them down eventually, and I think it's a bit silly to have players stockpiling huge forc...
Re: Sceptres
Right, now the Trait is very viable, and since Nobles are buildable, people are encouraged to employ their Nobles in battle and have them lead bands of cool troops like we read in the Fading Suns books. Blademasters are almost as good as Rebel Partisans and Psy-masters are pretty awesome! The highe...

Re: Ranged Space
Boy, real life has been pretty hectic lately! That said: I did give them a bunch of Imperial Eye Agents, which are spies. I've been thinking about that, hmmm... I guess I'll think about it some more... Yeah... they might be too powerful with the Agents, but then again, they might also add spice to t...

Re: Mind Elemental - Fix to Crash!
Well, putting a Hive on the homeworlds would certainly be hard to do, because for human players you'd want to make it tough, but for computer players, you wouldn't really want one at all since that'd be the end of them. Maybe near a homeworld is a better idea, hmmm... Putting a Hive near a homeworl...

Re: Hyperion v1.4
Yes - but you can get by without them and they are much better used on Osquen. If you can get them there on Turn 1, befor ethe Cybermorph Bombers jump in... Right, using the Vau only helps early. In the games I play I don't sell maps to the Vau, although I easily could. Selling maps to the Vau is n...

Re: Hyperion v1.4
It is always interesting to hear the strategies on Schemadin because there are a lot of different ways to go about it. I like to leave the Noble group up in the northwest and capture the Aborium and use the skimmer to shuttle between the two areas (the other being the Palace / Shield area) picking ...

Re: Mind Elemental - Fix to Crash!
Well, you know, it was something in the water when I was north of the border! Oh, my. Good thing you didn't have your modding tools there... *DUCKS* I think so - plus what is cool about the Symbiots (and the Vau for that matter) is that you can only get their units by capturing them. If there was a...

Re: Hyperion v1.4
posted 10-09-2003 13:15 I think my natural caution had something to do with it - preferring to hit an enemy with as big a stack as I can get there - also not wanting to subject the lander to too much ground fire. Plus, a Rebel squadron jumped in about turn 5 and wiped out my space forces including ...
